Andhra Pradesh News: Fresh Horror After 2005 Hyderabad–Bengaluru Tragedy, 13 Burnt Alive in Andhra Bus Fire! CM Chandrababu Naidu Orders Probe

Andhra Pradesh News: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has expressed his condolences after 13 passengers were burnt alive and 20 were left severely injured.

Andhra Pradesh News: Turn Of Events

A private travel was collided with a tipped vehicle that was loaded with gravel that was coming from Kanigiri around 6am. Belonging to Harikrishna Travels, the bus was travelling to Vinjamuru in Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district from Nirmal in Telangana.

Of the 13 killed, 6 are from Vinjamur mandal, 6 from Prakasam district and 1 from Udhayagiri Mandal.

In 2025, the state of Andhra Pradesh witnessed countless fatal road accidents. The high count of fatal accidents promoted the AP government to follow a series of stringent measures to ensure unprecedented safety on state and national highways.

Preliminary government data suggest that more than 8300 fatal accidents and 10,600 non-fatal accidents had been reported across the state of Andhra Pradesh by the end of November 2025. In 2022, the state registered 16,993 deaths compared to 17,039 deaths in 2023.

Post-Accident Reactions

A Revanth Reddy, Telangana Chief Minister, expressed deep sorrow over the devastating bus tragedy. Reddy offered condolences over death of many passengers and offered instructions to make sure that the best form of treatment is offered to the injured.

Satya Kumar Yadav, the AP State Minister for Medical and Health, expressed shock over the bus tragedy and confirmed that several injured are presently being treated at different hospitals of the city. It was also confirmed that at least 30 passengers had a lucky escape before the bus was completely gutted.

P Raja Babu, Markapuram District In-charge Collector, commented that 5 individuals who were critically injured have been shifted to Guntur GGH.
