Chaitra Navratri 2026 Day 9: Unlock Powerful Blessings Of Maa Siddhidatri On Navami With This Ritual, Astrologer Shares Details

Chaitra Navratri 2026 Day 9 Navami is dedicated to Maa Siddhidatri, the goddess who grants siddhi, success and spiritual strength. Know the Navami muhurat, puja vidhi, mantra and why this day is considered most powerful.

Chaitra Navratri 2026 is one of the most sacred Hindu festivals, and the ninth day, known as Maha Navami, holds special importance for devotees. In Chaitra Navratri 2026, Navami begins on Thursday (March 26, 2026) at 11:48 AM and ends on Friday (March 27, 2026) at 10:06 AM. Since the tithi spans two days, some devotees are celebrating Ram Navami on March 26, while others may observe it on March 27, depending on tradition and local customs.

The ninth day of Navratri is dedicated to Maa Siddhidatri, the final form of Goddess Durga. Devotees believe that worshipping her on Navami completes the nine-day spiritual journey and brings blessings of success, wisdom and inner strength.

Chaitra Navratri 2026: Who Is Maa Siddhidatri And Why Navami Is Important

Maa Siddhidatri is the ninth form of Goddess Durga and is known as the giver of Siddhi (divine powers) and success. The name Siddhidatri comes from two words — Siddhi, meaning perfection or supernatural power, and Datri, meaning giver. She is usually shown seated on a lotus or riding a lion, holding a chakra, gada, shankh, and lotus in her four hands.

According to Hindu beliefs, Maa Siddhidatri played an important role in the creation of the universe. It is said that in the beginning, the universe was filled with darkness until the divine energy appeared as Mahashakti. Lord Shiva performed deep penance to please this supreme power, who then appeared as Maa Siddhidatri and granted him the Ashta Siddhis, the eight supernatural powers.

Later, she merged with Lord Shiva’s left side, creating the divine form of Ardhanarishwara, symbolising the balance of masculine and feminine energies in the universe. Because of this, Navami is considered the day of completion, balance, and spiritual fulfilment.
