Rajasthan News: Akshaya Tritiya 2026 Shaadi Boom Ahead! Step-By-Step Guide On How To Claim LPG Cylinders This Akha Teej

Rajasthan News: The Rajasthan government has announced that residents of the state would face no challenges to get LPG or PNG supplies starting from Akha Teej (Akshaya Tritiya) that falls on April 19, 2026.

Sumit Godara, the state’s Food and Civil Supplies Minister, commented that the state government is in full action mode to ensure that no wedding in the state is hampered due to non-availability of LPG or PNG supplies.

The decision was taken after a high-level review meeting on the supply system of commercial and domestic Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) cylinders in Rajasthan. The meeting was also attended by senior officials from representatives and departments of oil & gas marketing companies.

Godara remarked that the average delivery time for Liquefied petroleum gas cylinders in the state would be maintained at approximately 4.5 days. The Minister also ordered officials to make sure that there is sufficient availability of commercial LPG cylinders for wedding functions in both urban and rural areas. In urban areas, three 19-kg cylinders and two 19-kg cylinders would be provided in rural areas as per the minister’s directions.

The Food and Civil Supplies Minister also focused on accelerating the expansion of PNG connections in the state of Rajasthan. Godara directed gas companies and officials to speed up the process of laying PNG pipelines, increasing new connections and raising industrial and public awareness about the advantages of PNG connections.

The Minister also instructed that no LPG cylinders in the state should be delivered without the successful completion of electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) so that complete transparency is maintained and benefits only reach the eligible consumers.
