Understanding Your Result: Avoid Panic
The first step after checking your class 10th result is to take a moment to process it calmly. Avoid reacting emotionally without fully understanding your marksheet. If you believe your marks are not in line with your expectations or if there is a specific subject where your scores are unusually low, you may opt for re-evaluation of marks or May 2026 second board examinations by CBSE.
You may apply for re-verification of marks within the official deadline announced by CBSE by paying a nominal fee. Please note that this step doesn’t involve re-evaluation of answers but only checking for calculation errors.
You may alternatively apply for a photocopy of your answer sheet to check if your answers were correctly marked. This would also help you understand where marks were deducted and if they were any unchecked or partially checked answers.
Once you have the answer sheets with you, you may apply for re-evaluation if there are unchecked answers, incorrect marking or if correct marks are not awarded for correct steps.
In other words, you should apply for verification if the marks seem slightly off. You need to get a photocopy of your answer sheet if you want complete clarity. You may opt for re-evaluation if you find checking errors. You may sit for supplementary or the second set of board exams if you didn’t pass.
