Kangana Ranaut: Padma Shri winner and Member of Parliament from the Mandi seat, Kangana Ranaut has blasted her wedding rumours with senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi if Rahul joins the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Statement By Kangana Ranaut
In a story on Instagram, Kangana commented that people who spread such rumours should be ashamed of themselves. Kangana also said that the fake news is a new low and highlights the fact that there is no dignity left for women in politics.
The clarification came after several entertainment pages and social media posts shared reports alleging that the actor-turned-politician had remarked that she is open to marrying Gandhi if he joins the BJP.
The unverified claim immediately spread viral across social media platforms, triggering memes, mixed reactions from users online and debates. Many netizens termed it as a political humour or satire while others questioned the statement’s authenticity while criticizing the spread of misinformation about the winner of four National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards.
