Shreyas Iyer Reveals the Biggest Turning Point Behind PBKS Loss to SRH, Says THIS Destroyed Their Momentum

Shreyas Iyer revealed that dropped catches and fielding mistakes were the biggest reasons behind Punjab Kings losing momentum against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their IPL clash.

Shreyas Iyer said dropped catches and fielding errors became the major turning point in the Punjab Kings defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Punjab Kings Suffer Tough Defeat Against SRH

Shreyas Iyer came out swinging following a crushing defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad as Punjab Kings lost another important IPL game after putting up a valiant fight against the opposition. PBKS showed glimpses of brilliance but were unable to keep their composure throughout some vital moments in the game, which resulted in SRH taking charge of the match.

Shreyas Iyer Points to Key Turning Point

In his post-game comments, captain Shreyas Iyer revealed that the fact that Punjab Kings let their chances slip through their fingers because of some bad catching proved to be the most important factor of this game. Iyer explained that missing opportunities like these make a huge difference when playing in high-stakes games such as a T20.

PBKS Blunders Jeopardize Their Advantage

PBKS had begun the game well and seemed like a team that was ready to take control at critical junctures of the game. But a few blunders in the field gave confidence to the SRH batsmen, who went on to build their own momentum once it was gained. Iyer admitted that the poor fielding from his side affected not only the scoreboard but also the energy levels of the players.

SRH Seized Every Given Chance

Though PBKS made some mistakes, the team of Sunrisers Hyderabad did not miss any chance that was given to them. While the batsmen attacked the bowlers following their escapes, the bowlers continued to keep Punjab’s batting line-up under pressure.

PBKS Looking to Bounce Back Strongly

Despite the defeat, Shreyas Iyer remained optimistic about Punjab Kings’ chances in the tournament. He stated that the team needs to quickly learn from its mistakes and improve its execution in upcoming matches.
