Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 2: Karuppu is turning out to be a massive success story at the box office. After opening to solid numbers on Friday, the Suriya and Trisha Krishnan starrer witnessed a huge jump in collections on Day 2. Backed by positive reviews and strong audience response, the fantasy action drama has now emerged as one of the biggest Tamil hits of 2026 so far.
The film recorded a major rise on Saturday and comfortably outperformed the Day 2 trend of Suriya’s previous release Retro. Trade experts believe the film’s impressive momentum is being driven by strong word-of-mouth, especially in Tamil Nadu, where occupancy surged significantly over the weekend.
Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 2
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Karuppu earned around Rs 23.40 crore net in India on Day 2 across 6,288 shows. With this, the film’s total India net collection has reached Rs 38.90 crore within just two days.
The film’s India gross collection currently stands at approximately Rs 45.04 crore. While Karuppu opened lower than Suriya’s last release Retro, the film made a strong comeback with an excellent jump on Saturday.
Interestingly, Retro had witnessed a drop on its second day and collected only around Rs 9 crore during its theatrical run. In comparison, Karuppu recorded a massive jump of nearly 56 percent on Day 2, helping it easily surpass the previous film’s record. The latest performance has now positioned Karuppu as Suriya’s much-awaited comeback film.
Karuppu Box Office Collection Strong In Tamil And Telugu Markets
The Tamil version of Karuppu continued to dominate theatres on Saturday. The film collected around Rs 19.75 crore net in Tamil with an impressive 64 percent occupancy across nearly 4,600 shows.

Meanwhile, the Telugu dubbed version also performed well and contributed Rs 3.65 crore net with around 37 percent occupancy from 1,688 shows.
The film’s overseas performance has also been remarkable. Directed by RJ Balaji, Karuppu earned nearly Rs 10 crore overseas on Day 2 alone. Its total international gross collection has now reached around Rs 21 crore.
With strong domestic and overseas collections combined, the film’s worldwide gross collection currently stands at a huge Rs 66.04 crore in just two days.

Suriya Thanks Fans And Team Amid Success
Amid the film’s strong theatrical run, Suriya shared a heartfelt note on social media thanking the entire cast and crew for their hard work and dedication.
The actor expressed gratitude towards the team at Dream Warrior Pictures, editor Kalaivanan, music composer Sai Abhyankkar and cinematographer Vishnu for their contributions to the film. Suriya also praised RJ Balaji for delivering a blockbuster entertainer and winning audience appreciation.
The actor later posted a special video message thanking cinema lovers and his fans for supporting Karuppu wholeheartedly.
