Yogi Adityanath Strengthens Development & Heritage in Kushinagar with 278 Projects, Launches ₹20 Crore Tourism Works in Gorakhpur

The latest announcements reflect the Uttar Pradesh government's twin focus on development and heritage conservation. Through hundreds of infrastructure projects in Kushinagar and a dedicated tourism investment in Gorakhpur, the administration aims to improve public services, strengthen regional economies, and preserve the cultural significance of two of eastern Uttar Pradesh's most important cities.

CM Yogi Adityanath: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has further accelerated the pace of development in the state by inaugurating and laying the foundation stones of 278 projects in Kushinagar. The mega programme covers important sectors such as roads, health, education, supply of drinking water, rural infrastructure and facilities in the field of public welfare.

The Chief Minister, speaking at the event to a gathering, said that balanced regional development is a priority of the state government. He stressed the importance of better infrastructure and public services in creating employment opportunities and improving the quality of life of residents.

Growing Fast While Preserving Heritage

Kushinagar is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites related to Gautama Buddha and a unique place on the world tourism map. Yogi Adityanath said the culture and spiritual heritage of the region had to be preserved even as the civic infrastructure was modernised.

The government thinks better connectivity, upgraded facilities and improved urban amenities will bring in more domestic and international visitors, help local businesses and boost the district’s economy.

Gorakhpur to Get ₹20 Crore Tourism Boost

CM Yogi Adityanath: In a parallel move, the Chief Minister inaugurated tourism-related projects worth around ₹20 crore from Gorakhpur. The projects are expected to improve tourist facilities, beautify important public spaces and boost the city’s appeal as a cultural and religious destination.

The investment, officials said, is aimed at stimulating tourism-related economic growth and creating opportunities for local entrepreneurs, artisans and businesses in the hospitality sector.
