According to the report, out of 847 government schools in Hisar district catering to students from Classes 1 to 12, a substantial number face infrastructure challenges. The findings indicate that 73 schools lack adequate drinking water facilities, while 55 schools do not have proper boundary walls. Additionally, 22 schools reportedly do not have sufficient toilet facilities for more than 100 students, including girls and differently-abled children.

The report also highlighted classroom shortages in several schools. Twelve government schools were found to have an inadequate number of classrooms, forcing students and teachers to cope with overcrowded conditions. Officials cited factors such as delays in budget approvals, inadequate monitoring, lack of coordination among departments, and administrative inefficiencies as reasons behind the persistent shortcomings.
Dhanda accused the BJP-led government of neglecting the education sector and urged authorities to prioritize the development of school infrastructure. He maintained that quality education requires not only qualified teachers but also access to basic facilities that ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
Meanwhile, education officials have acknowledged receiving the report and stated that verification teams have been formed to inspect the schools concerned. Authorities indicated that the findings would be reviewed and necessary action would be taken after consultations with the state education department.
