Bhagwant Mann Announces Support Under Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana, Additional Grant for Faridkot Village

The new allocation comes in addition to funds that had already been sanctioned for local infrastructure and community projects.

 Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, while addressing a public gathering in village Panjgrain Kalan in Faridkot district, announced a series of welfare and development measures aimed at supporting women, youth, farmers, and rural communities.

During the event, Mann thanked residents, particularly women, for their participation and support. He stated that beneficiaries under the Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana would begin receiving financial assistance from July 1, with three months’ worth of support to be released together. He also said that the assistance would be provided without any fingerprint-related requirement.

Additional Grant for Faridkot Village

The Chief Minister further announced an additional grant of ₹50 lakh for the village’s development. The new allocation comes in addition to funds that had already been sanctioned for local infrastructure and community projects.

Highlighting the government’s initiatives, Mann said that employment opportunities, affordable electricity, healthcare benefits, and support for farmers remain key priorities of the administration. He noted that thousands of government jobs have been provided through recruitment drives and reiterated the government’s commitment to public welfare programmes.

According to the Chief Minister, the state government is focusing on strengthening rural infrastructure, improving public services, and expanding welfare schemes to enhance the quality of life for citizens across Punjab.

The announcements were made as part of the government’s ongoing outreach programmes aimed at engaging directly with residents and reviewing development needs at the grassroots level.
