He said Uttar Pradesh's future would be brighter only when every child receives the opportunity to learn and grow through education.

The second phase of the drive will continue until July 15 with the objective of achieving 100 per cent enrolment from Classes 1 to 12, bringing school dropouts back into the education system, and accelerating admissions for the new academic session.

Chief Minister described education as the most valuable asset

In his message to the people of the state, the Chief Minister described education as the most valuable asset in life and said schools are the foundation where children develop knowledge, values, discipline, character, and personality. He said modern schools continue the legacy of India’s ancient Gurukul tradition by combining academic learning with practical knowledge and nation-building values.

Highlighting the state’s education initiatives, Yogi Adityanath said the government has been modernising secondary schools under Project Alankar while improving infrastructure and the quality of education. He added that programmes such as Operation Kayakalp, Mission Prerna, Mission NIPUN, and the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Scheme are helping improve educational standards across Uttar Pradesh.

The Chief Minister also noted that nutritious cooked meals are being provided in government schools to support the physical and mental well-being of students, emphasising that a healthy body is essential for effective learning.

Addressing teachers, Yogi Adityanath appealed to them to make schools engaging for children through sports and extracurricular activities so that attending school becomes an enjoyable experience rather than just a daily routine. He also urged parents to judge their children by their determination and effort rather than examination marks and to ensure their regular attendance in schools.

Calling the School Chalo Abhiyan a people’s movement, the Chief Minister appealed to citizens to help identify children who are still out of school and encourage their enrolment. He said Uttar Pradesh’s future would be brighter only when every child receives the opportunity to learn and grow through education.
