Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said he completed the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) voter verification process along with his family in Sangrur and appealed to every eligible voter in the state to submit their SIR forms within the stipulated time.

The Chief Minister urged citizens to actively participate in the revision of the electoral rolls, stating that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) would visit households and assist voters with all necessary formalities. He said the exercise is aimed at ensuring an accurate and transparent electoral roll.
Mann highlights women’s financial assistance scheme
Mann clarified that no eligible voter’s name would be removed during the revision process. He said only duplicate entries and the names of deceased persons would be deleted so that the voter list remains updated, transparent, and free from discrepancies.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the launch of the Punjab Government’s financial assistance scheme for women, under which eligible beneficiaries have started receiving monthly assistance of ₹1,000 to ₹1,500, according to the government’s announcement.
Referring to Sangrur’s development, Bhagwant Mann said the government remains committed to accelerating infrastructure and civic development projects in the city. He added that transforming Sangrur into a more modern, well-planned, and beautiful city continues to be one of the state’s key priorities.
