India’s most promising sustainability entrepreneurs were honoured at EcoKranti-Shubh Labh 1.0, the Grand Finale of the national sustainability-focused startup movement under the Startup India Bharat Startup Challenge 2026, held at The Art of Living International Center. The two-day summit brought together innovators, investors, policymakers, researchers and industry leaders to accelerate solutions for a greener, more sustainable India.
The initiative received over 900 applications from startups, researchers, institutions and changemakers across the country out of which 26 leaders were selected . Following a rigorous evaluation process, the finalists presented scalable solutions spanning climate technology, circular economy, waste-to-wealth, green manufacturing and sustainable rural development.
The Winner of EcoKranti Shubh Labh 1.0 was ISM ClimaTech, founded by Deepali Jadia and Dr. Harish Jadia, for its technology that converts difficult-to-recycle packaging waste into industrial raw materials, returning them to the manufacturing supply chain. Acala Design and Tech Pvt. Ltd, led by Chetan Patil and Priya, was named First Runner-up, while In Waste Technologies Pvt. Ltd., secured the Second Runner-up position led by Jatin Mittal .
Special honours were presented to ECMT (Best Sustainability Startup), Cocycle Horizon Pvt. Ltd. (Social Impact Award), Banavrit (Best Rural Impact Startup) and Intrinsic Foundries (Best Climate Tech Startup).

Unlike conventional startup competitions, EcoKranti focuses exclusively on sustainability and rural development, recognising enterprises that create measurable environmental and social impact.
“We want to maintain the ethos of our organisation by bringing together people who are here to create change and make an impact, not just earn profits,” said Devang Vora, Director and Trustee, Sri Sri Rural Development Programme (SSRDP).
Alongside investor interactions, mentoring sessions and startup showcases, participants also underwent the Sahaj Samadhi Meditation Program, reflecting The Art of Living’s holistic approach to entrepreneurship.
Shri Arvind Varchaswi, Managing Director, Sri Sri Tattva, highlighted the importance of inner wellbeing in building purpose-driven organisations.
“Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar once said that when you invest in someone in an intangible way, they give back to you many times over… This entire concept of EcoKranti is deeply rooted in the values that Gurudev has always stood for and shared with people around the world.”
For the winning startups, the event offered far more than recognition.
“The conversations we had here have been invaluable, and this initiative promises to support startups not just today but in the years ahead,” said Deepali Jadia, Founder of ISM ClimaTech.
The summit also reflected the growing impact of the EcoKranti movement. Over the past two years, it has reached 10,000 households, helping eliminate nearly 200 tonnes of recurring single-use plastic waste. Over the next two years, the initiative aims to expand to one million households, preventing another 1,000 tonnes of single-use plastic while strengthening India’s circular economy.
“We at EcoKranti firmly believe that change begins at home, and sustainability should start with simple choices,” said Devang Vora.
Jointly organised by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and the Sri Sri Rural Development Programme (SSRDP), EcoKranti is building a nationwide ecosystem that identifies, mentors and scales entrepreneurs creating sustainable solutions for India’s future.
