The education sector in Punjab has witnessed significant changes under the Bhagwant Mann-led government, with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab highlighting a series of initiatives aimed at improving government schools and expanding opportunities for students.
Bhagwant Mann: Smart Classrooms and Better Facilities
AAP Punjab said the state’s “education revolution” has transformed the appearance and learning environment of government schools. Smart classrooms and improved facilities are being developed to provide students with a modern educational experience and better learning infrastructure.
The party said several government schools now offer facilities that can compete with those available in private schools, giving students access to improved educational resources within the government school system.
Free NEET and JEE Coaching
A key focus of the government’s education initiatives is helping students prepare for competitive examinations. AAP Punjab highlighted free coaching for NEET and JEE, saying the programme is helping students pursue their aspirations of entering prestigious medical and engineering institutions.
The initiative is aimed at reducing the financial burden on families while giving students access to structured preparation for highly competitive entrance examinations.
International Training for Teachers
AAP Punjab also highlighted the training of teachers abroad as part of the education reforms. According to the party, exposure to international teaching practices is helping educators adopt modern approaches and contribute to making students better prepared for the changing world.
