A political war of words has erupted between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress after Congress leader Pawan Khera described AAP as the “English-medium BJP.”
Responding to Khera’s remark, AAP leader Anurag Dhanda defended his party and argued that voters who are unhappy with the BJP may still be unwilling to support Congress.

Dhanda said Khera was speaking the truth about the political similarities being discussed, but turned his criticism towards Congress.
He alleged that Congress had committed “so many sins” that people who were dissatisfied with the BJP still did not want to vote for the grand old party. Dhanda argued that this political situation created a need for an alternative acceptable to a wider section of voters.
He identified AAP+ as such an option, saying it could appeal to voters looking for an alternative to both the BJP and Congress.
Pawan Khera Targets AAP
Khera had earlier taken a swipe at AAP by calling it the “English-medium BJP.” His remark came while referring to the political positioning of AAP and the BJP.
Khera also referred to statements by AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, claiming that Kejriwal himself had acknowledged that there was not much difference between the two parties.
The exchange highlights the continuing political friction between AAP and Congress, particularly over their ideological positioning and claims about being alternatives to the BJP.
