5 Upcoming Cars in India

1. Hyundai Exter

The Grand i10, Nios, Aura, i20, and Venue all have 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engines; the Exter will be able to get one as well. Even though the Exter’s output hasn’t been disclosed by the manufacturer, anticipate it to produce a similar 83 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. Hyundai has also announced that the engine will be paired with either an AMT or a 5-speed manual transmission. Hyundai will introduce the Exter with a factory-installed CNG kit, much like it does with the Nios and the Aura. The Exter really shares a platform and foundation with the latter two.

2. Kia Sonet Facelift

To comply with the strict Real Driving Emissions (RDE) rules, Kia Sonet recently underwent powertrain improvements. The SUV has three engines: an 83 horsepower, 1.2-litre normally aspirated gasoline engine, a 120 horsepower, 1.0-litre turbocharged gasoline engine, and a 115 horsepower, 1.5-litre diesel engine. On the powertrain front, we do not anticipate any modifications for the Sonet facelift.

3. Tata Punch CNG

Recently the manufacturer confirmed the CNG variant that will be launched in the first half of this year. Today we will give you all the details of the car.

The Punch has a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 86 PS/113 Nm of torque that is coupled to a five-speed manual transmission and an optional five-speed AMT. The CNG versions employ the same engine and a five-speed manual transmission to produce 77PS and 97Nm.

4. Maruti Suzuki Jimny

The Indian-spec 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine in the Suzuki Jimny generates 104 Hp and 134 Nm of torque. You have the option of a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The Jimny has a low-range transfer case and can drive all four wheels.

5. Tata Nexon Facelift

According to reports, the Tata Nexon will receive a facelift in August 2023 and will be equipped with a brand-new 1.2L DI turbo petrol engine that generates 125 PS and 225 Nm. Additionally, a new DCA gearbox is anticipated. While the inside will have new elements like a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen and a new steering wheel, the exterior will heavily borrow design cues from the Curvv concept.
