Gogoro Electric Scooters: The Company Partners With Zypp Electric Battery Swapping Pilot Project In India

Gogoro Electric Scooters: According to a press release from Gogoro, the company will talk about its “vision for smart energy and urban transportation” at the press conference. It will also talk about its efforts to decarbonize India’s urban mobility and last-mile sector. So, Gogoro might be thinking about putting B2B goods on the market for use in last-mile delivery applications. In the future, Gogoro may also sell B2C items to individuals.

Regarding Gogoro The Taiwanese company Gogoro made a charging station for electric scooters, mopeds, and motorcycles with two wheels that can swap batteries. It also makes its own electric scooters and works with other companies like Hero, Yamaha, Aeonmotor, PGO, easy, and eMOVING, which also make vehicles. Gogoro also runs a ride-sharing service called GoShare in Taiwan and on the island of Ishigaki in Japan.

A new deal with Zypp

In India, Gogoro has announced a partnership with the EV-as-a-Service platform Zypp Electric and a strategic B2B initiative. The two companies have joined forces to use Gogoro’s battery-swapping stations to power logistics fleets and last-mile deliveries.

Gogoro, a Taiwanese company that makes electric scooters and battery swapping stations, plans to start a B2B pilot with Zypp Electric in Delhi in December 2022. The pilot will then be used by multiple fleet operators.

Zypp’s IoT and AI-enabled scooters deliver groceries, medicines, food, and e-commerce packages from point A to point B. Delivery riders and companies that do last-mile delivery can rent electric scooters from the company.

Along with the B2B project, Gogoro and Zypp introduced a full EV ecosystem with Gogoro network stations, Gogoro smart batteries, and Gogoro smart scooters. The company says that it will use the results of this pilot project to grow its business in India. Gogoro has changed the batteries in more than 350 million vehicles around the world, and the company thinks that battery swapping can help the Indian automotive market move toward electric mobility. The company runs more than 11,000 battery-swappingswapping stations in more than 2,240 places around the world. Every day, Gogoro swaps out more than 370,000 batteries.

Models of Gogoro Scooters

Most of Gogoro’s models have battery packs that can be taken off, and the company makes both slow and fast electric scooters. Its best feature is a reliable way to switch between batteries. Rumors say that Gogoro may sell the S1 e-scooter in India, but the company hasn’t said what its plans are for the country yet. The company wants to sell this model in India with the hope that it will do as well there as it has in Taiwan, where Gogoro is based. The Gogoro S1 is driven by a motor in the middle that can produce up to 9.65bhp and 27Nm of torque. It is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack that can be swapped out and is said to have a range of 150 kilometers at 30 kilometers per hour.

Gogoro has made six models

The Gogoro SuperSport, the Gogoro Series 2, the Gogoro Delight, the Gogoro Viva XL, the Gogoro Viva Mix, and the Gogoro Viva.

Gogoro could also try to grow its business-to-business (B2B) business in India by bringing its most affordable device, probably the Gogoro Viva. This car’s less powerful 4bhp engine makes 85Nm of wheel torque. At 30 km/h, the range given is 85 km. If the Indianized Gogoro S1 is sold in India, it will go up against e-scooters with lots of features like the Hero Vida V1 Pro, Ather 450X, and Ola S1 Pro.

Work together with Hero Motors

Hero MotoCorp wants to use its knowledge and technology to build a new ecosystem in India. The Vida V1, which is the company’s first electric scooter, also has the ability to switch batteries.   We expect that Hero MotoCorp will represent Gogoro in India, but that it will also work on its own. There is a very good chance that the company will come out with its own brand of electric two-wheelers and a system for swapping batteries that Hero MotoCorp could use in the future.
