Honda motorbike patents for a new model that will rival Hero Splendor, specs leaked

New Honda Motorbike to Compete with Splendor Splendor is the one to beat in India, with 2.25 lakh units sold last month, while Honda Shine came in second with 87k units sold, trailing Splendor and HF Deluxe. Honda is said to be developing a new low-cost commuter vehicle. In that regard, the Japanese company has now copyrighted a new design in India.

Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India (HMSI) dominates the scooter market. Honda has dominated the scooter sales rankings thanks to its ever-popular Activa line, and it is set to do so for a long time.

Honda produces an entry-level motorcycle named the CB Shine. It is the second best-selling model for HMSI and the best-selling model in Honda’s motorcycle lineup. When it comes to the Indian motorcycle market, Hero MotoCorp completely destroys the competition.

Honda’s new motorcycle will rival in beauty

Honda’s New Motorcycle to compete with splendour. Splendor is the one to beat in India, with 2.25 lakh units sold last month, while Honda Shine came in second with 87k units sold, trailing Splendor and HF Deluxe. Honda is said to be developing a new low-cost commuter vehicle. In that regard, the Japanese company has now copyrighted a new design in India. Let us investigate.

The bike was made to have a competitive pricing in the entry-level market

Looking at the design patent, it is clear that New Honda motorbike was designed to be priced aggressively in the entry sector. Even by low-cost commuter standards. The name of this next motorcycle is not yet known. However, it is similar to the CG Dream series of affordable commuters sold in developing nations such as Pakistan.

In Pakistan, Honda sells a CG 125 Dream with spoked wheels. In India, HMSI is anticipated to use the same 110cc engine that powers the CD 110 Dream. Despite having a larger 110cc engine than the 100cc Hero Splendor and matching the pricing, Honda’s entry-level product CD 110 Dream is currently underperforming. Honda may aim to meet Splendor Plus’ Rs. 71.5K price point by offering a 125cc motorcycle with spoked wheels and barebones functionality. Honda should expect to push more volumes and take a piece of Splendor’s pie this way.

What about Flex Fuel?

Even though it is too early to speculate on a flex-fuel offering, it is a possibility. This is because Honda’s new affordable commuter motorcycle, which has been patented in India, features an abnormally huge engine housing for a commuter motorcycle. However, it appears like the engine casing extends beyond the cradle structure. This is odd for a cheap motorbike with a 100-125cc engine, unless it is equipped with flex-fuel technology. A double cradle chassis, telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear, a single-piece seat, and spoked wheels are among the notable characteristics.
