Hyundai Casper: Compact SUV to soon launch in India, will give tough competition to Tata Punch, all you need to know

Hyundai Casper: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) may soon launch its mini SUV, the Hyundai Casper, to compete with good, affordable SUVs like the Tata Punch on the Indian market. Casper has already made its debut on the international market and is now prepared to do the same in India thanks to its sporty appearance and cutting-edge features. The Casper will face off against hatchbacks like the Citroen C3 and tiny SUVs like the Tata Punch. The Casper might be sold for between Rs. 6-7 lakh.

Hyundai Casper Design

The dimensions of the Hyundai Casper are 3.59 metres in length, 1.59 metres in width, and 1.57 metres in height. The Hyundai Venue served as an inspiration for the Casper sub-4 metre compact SUV. It is built on the K1 compact car platform. The Casper’s single-slat grille, round headlamps, LED DRLs, and LED rings in the lower bumper can all be seen upfront. The Casper will receive an aggressive bumper and a skid plate with a silver finish.

Speaking of the Hyundai Casper’s engine, power, and transmission, it has 1.1 and 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engines that can produce up to 82 horsepower of power. Both a 5-speed manual and automatic powertrain can be available for the Casper. 

Features

In addition to having black plastic cladding all over, the Hyundai Casper will have dual-tone roof tails, multi-spoke alloy wheels, and angular wheel arches. As for Casper’s features, they include dual-tone interiors, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, a multi-function steering wheel, keyless entry, connected car technology, a reverse parking camera, and twin airbags.
