Mahindra Thar BS6 phase 2 engine details out, new variants to launch soon, all you need to know

Mahindra Thar: The Thar, one of the Indian automakers, Mahindra & Mahindra’s most well-liked SUV vehicles, will shortly receive a new engine update. The rear-wheel drive version of this car was introduced by the firm in January. The company will replace the engine in this off-road vehicle in accordance with the new Real Driving Emission Norms (RDE) or BS6 Phase-Two.

Mahindra Thar’s new engine details

The brand-new engine featured in Thar will be modified to comply with the new Real Driving Emission Norms (RDE) that will be in effect nationwide starting on April 1. As a result, practically all firms are updating their vehicles’ engines to comply with the new standards. According to online leaks of photos, the Thar will soon receive revised engines that comply with the current RDE standards. Also, this engine is prepared to run on E20 fuel. The specifics of the engines are yet unknown.

Features

The off-road SUV from Mahindra now has an Android Auto and Apple CarPlay-enabled seven-inch touchscreen entertainment system. There is also cruise control, an electrically controlled air conditioner, halogen headlights with LED DRLs, and steering-mounted controls. A washable interior floor and removable roof panels are further features that Mahindra has added.

Price in India

The price for the Thar begins at Rs. 9.99 Lakh. Thar has 13 variations and 6 colour choices.
