Three engine choices are available for Mahindra’s subcompact SUV: a 1.5-litre diesel engine (117PS and 300Nm), a new 1.2-litre TGDI turbo-petrol engine, and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit with 110PS and 200Nm of torque (130PS and 230Nm or up to 250Nm on over boost). While the diesel engine and the turbo-petrol both have a six-speed AMT option, all units are mated with a six-speed manual transmission.
Two engine options are available for the engine: a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine (90PS/113Nm) from the Baleno and a 1-litre turbo-petrol BoosterJet engine (100PS/148Nm) with mild hybrid technology. The latter is available with a five-speed manual and five-speed AMT, while the former has a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission.
Features
The XUV300 has a single-pane sunroof, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and cruise control. The list also includes connected automobile technology and auto AC.
The Fronx has a heads-up display, cruise control, auto climate control, wireless phone charging, and a 360-degree camera, among other features. It also has a nine-inch infotainment system.
Price in India
The Mahindra XUV300 is priced between Rs. 8.41 lakh to Rs. 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India).
For the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, the Price is expected to range from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) and more.
