All about the Nissan Ariya

Specifications

Nissan provides the Ariya with a choice of two battery pack sizes—63kWh and 87kWh—as well as single- and twin-motor, rear- and four-wheel drive powertrains. With a claimed range of 402km, the 63kWh battery pack produces 217hp and 300Nm of torque. The 242hp and 300Nm 87kWh variant has a stated range of up to 529km. With a claimed range of up to 513 kilometres, the top-of-the-line 87kWh Ariya produces 306 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque.

Because of its flat shape and incorporated cross element, the battery pack may fit on a flat surface and provides structural rigidity. The battery pack under the vehicle’s centre is supposed to guarantee “a low centre of gravity and near-equal weight distribution, front and rear.” The electric crossover has a multi-link system with a rear electric motor in the back.

Features

A 12.3-inch display built into the dashboard serves as the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster for the Nissan Ariya electric crossover, among other features. Along with the in-dash navigation, the device is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A head-up display, SiriusXM’s new audio system, wireless smartphone charging, and a built-in voice assistant are all included.

ProPilot 2.0 driver assistance technology has been added by the automaker to the Ariya EV. The system provides safety functions like automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with lane keeping assistance, rear cross traffic alert, high beam assistance, rear automatic braking, blind spot warning, and adaptive cruise control with a lane centering feature.

Launch in India

Although Nissan plans to debut a number of new SUVs and EVs in India, it hasn’t said if the Ariya EV will be among them.
