Renault Kiger EV spotted in India, likely to launch soon and offer 300kms of range, all we know so far

Renault Kiger EV: Renault, a market-leading automaker in France, is thinking of producing an affordable electric car for the Indian market. In a market that is now small but is anticipated to grow quickly, Renault wants to give electric vehicles a try.

Renault Kiger EV details

Similar battery and electric motor options like those for the Kwid EV in China may be made available for the Renault Kiger EV. The motor will be powered by a 26.8 kWh battery pack, producing 44 horsepower and 125 Nm of torque. About 300 kilometres may be the claimed range. The Kiger could fit a greater battery pack than the Kwid EV since it is a little bit bigger in size. Due to this, the range may be increased to 350 km.

Competition and expected price

The planned Tata Punch EV and Citroen eC3 will compete with the Renault Kiger EV, among others. Renault may set the Kiger EV’s price between Rs 10-15 lacs.
