Tata Nexon EV: What Is Its Battery Cost? Here Is What You Need To Pay When You Set Out To Change It

Tata Nexon EV: Tata Motors is currently in first place with regard to electric vehicle sales. Tata has better electrified its 4W portfolio with the Nexon EV Prime, Nexon EV Max, Tigor, and the recently launched Tiago EV. It is anticipated that this will further solidify Tata’s position in this market. Although the Indian market for electric cars is still developing, Tata has established a strong foothold from the start. In the nation, Tata sells the most electric vehicles.

Tata dominated the electric car market in September 2022, holding 82.80% of the total market.

The product with the highest sales is Nexon EV, which has not yet been directly challenged. To compete with the Nexon EV, the Mahindra XUV400 will, however, be available soon. Compared to gasoline and diesel vehicles, electric vehicles are more expensive. The price of the battery and electric motor is largely to blame for this. These two components are the most expensive ones in an electric vehicle.

A Nexon EV user recently disclosed on social media that the battery costs Rs 7 lakh.

The cost of the electric motor has now been disclosed by another Nexon EV owner. It costs Rs 4,47,489 in India. The “Traction Motor Assembly” MRP is shown here. With this, you can estimate the price if you need to replace the battery or motor in the future but it is not covered by the warranty.

These are definitely very expensive components. However, there is a warranty. The Tata Nexon battery has an 8-year, 1.6-lakh-kilometer warranty (whichever is earlier). You will receive a replacement battery at no cost if the battery fails during this time (subject to certain conditions).
