Triumph Daytona 660 Spotted Testing
The recently spotted test mules of the Daytona 660 seems to be in a production ready model of the bike. The company avoided to wrap the bike with any comouflage on it which gives an idea that the launch could take place sooner than it is expected.
As far as the design is concerned, it comes with a twin-pod headlight design at the front side which looks identical to its predecessor, while being more sleeker now and housing LED DRLs inside them, they clearly differ from the earlier model. It also comes with a sleeker turn indicators too. Triumph Daytona 660 seems to be equipped with same engine as Tiger Sport 660 and Trident 660.
The upcoming Daytona is expected to feature the same powertrain with the similar tuning which will expectedly provide a maximum power output of 81 bhp and a peak torque of 64 Nm, mated to a 6 speed gearbox. Expectedly, it will also get Traction Control System with 2 riding modes- Road and Rain along with a bi-directional quick shifter.
Triumph Daytona: Performance
The bike features a non adjustable USD telescopic forks in the front along with getting monoshock and pre-load adjustability at the rear sides. A visible difference comes in braking setup as the upcoming Daytona features a radial brakes positioning when compared to the axial ones that come with Tiger sport and Trident.
Brake callipers have no branding on them, compared to the Nissin-branded one on the other 660s in the brand’s portfolio. It is also expected that the bike will get an R variant in the future which will feature more performance like Daytona 675R
