Volvo XC40 Recharge EV car: In India, Volvo unveiled the XC40 Recharge EV, its first electric vehicle. The good news for Indian consumers is that the XC40 SUV’s electric version will be built there, allowing the business to keep costs down. The electric vehicle will have a top speed of 180 km and a certified range of 335 km on a single charge.
In India, the Volvo XC40 Recharge costs Rs 55.9 lakh (ex-showroom). The business has begun taking reservations for the electric vehicle, and clients can do so online through the company’s main website. There are five different colour possibilities for the electric SUV. Volvo is also offering an 8-year warranty on the car’s battery pack, which happens to be one of the costliest parts in any electric vehicle.

Volvo XC40 Recharge EV car: Range and charging
According to Volvo, the XC40 Recharge has a long range of 418 kilometres on a single charge. Despite having a 335 km certified range. The 78kWh lithium-ion battery pack was provided by the firm for this vehicle. The new Volvo XC40 Recharged has front-wheel drive with a single PMS motor that can produce a maximum of 408 horsepower and a maximum torque of 660 Nm. The XC40 Recharge is able to achieve a top speed of 180 kmph as a result. According to the manufacturer, this electric car can be charged from zero to eighty percent in less than 35 minutes and supports DC fast charging up to 150 kW.
Additional features
The XC40 Recharge features a vertically aligned 9.0-inch entertainment touchscreen display and a 12.3-inch fully digital driving display for technology and infotainment. Google has collaborated in the development of the infotainment system. The electric SUV has wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, intelligent climate management, and upholstery made entirely of synthetic materials.
