On the other hand, the company has provided a 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine in the Tricity 155 that can produce 14.88 bhp of power and 14 Nm of torque. This is the same engine that is included with the R15, but in the R15, it has been tuned to produce 18.1 bhp of power. The fact that both scooters have start/stop technology makes them unique.

Wheels and brakes

The front and rear alloy wheels on Yamaha’s tricity models measure 14 inches and 13 inches, respectively. The scooter can turn in corners thanks to the ease with which its front wheel can be tilted. Both wheels have disc brakes, and the front and rear of the vehicle are suspended by telescoping forks and dual shock observers, respectively. It has features like keyless entry, smartphone connectivity, and other amenities.

Price, launch and availability

Tricity 125 has a starting price of 4,95,000 yen on the Japanese market, which converts to roughly Rs 3.10 lakh in Indian rupees. While Tricity 155’s price has been set at 5,56,500 yen (about Rs 3.54 lakh). These scooters are currently only on display in the Japanese market; however, sales of the Tricity 125 and Tricity 155 will begin on February 28 and April 14, respectively, in 2023.
