2023 Kia Seltos Facelift: The Kia Seltos facelift has been unveiled in India, with three major variant lines available: Tech (HT) Line, GT Line, and X-Line. The compact SUV has grown more upmarket with the midlife redesign and is the most powerful vehicle in its segment (due to the new turbo-petrol engine).
Know about the engine and powertrain
With its new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, the facelifted Kia Seltos is the only compact SUV to offer a 6-speed iMT (clutchless manual) gearbox. The new Seltos is the most powerful and torquey SUV in its class, with 160PS/253Nm. Only the Skoda Kushaq and the Volkswagen Taigun offer a 6-speed manual transmission with their 1-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines.
If you want a CNG engine, your options in this market are restricted to Maruti and Toyota SUVs. They are also the only SUVs on the market that offer all-wheel drive (AWD) with their top-spec manual variants.

Conclusion
Without any doubt, the race for the top slot is already heating up. Furthermore, automakers are working even harder to improve their offer from the previous year. Although the features appear good of Kia Seltos, the Hyundai Creta facelift will be available soon to reduce the gap. But do we now have a clear winner? When one takes the lead in one segment, it falls behind in another. The argument appears to have no end in sight.
