Apple Watch 8 Series: With a new Crash Detection feature, this watch has a lot to offer, details here

Apple Watch 8 Series: At its Far Out event, Apple unveiled the Watch Series 8, Watch SE, and Watch Ultra. Additionally, the much-anticipated iPhone 14 series and Airpods Pro 2 were presented by the Cupertino company. With the introduction of the Apple Watch Series 8, the event got underway. Though the Apple Watch Series 8 appears the same as the Watch Series 7, it does carry some interesting features, especially for women.
There are no physical improvements included with the Watch Series 8. Edge-to-edge display and a waterproof design are still present. It offers all of the fitness and health capabilities from the Watch Series 7, including an ECG sensor, blood oxygen sensor, and heartbeat sensor. The temperature sensor is the new component.

The bottom sensor and the sensor behind the display are both utilised by Apple. By minimising bias from the outside, the two-sensor arrangement aids in providing reliable temperature readings. Even 0.1-degree temperature variations can be tracked by it. In addition to helping women, these sensors track temperature data that is useful for determining body temperature. Every five seconds, it takes a temperature reading, and based on these data, it can help women track their ovulation insights. Women who want to know when they were conceived can acquire a retroactive ovulation estimation.

This time, “Crash Detection” is another noteworthy feature. Similar to the current “Fall Detection” feature, but for urgent situations like a vehicle accident. The Watch Series 8 immediately links you with emergency services in the event of a traffic accident, provides your location, and notifies your emergency contacts. Motion sensors in the smartwatch are used to detect such mishaps.

Apple Watch 8 Series: Price and Availability
Apple also asserts that battery life has significantly improved. It still compares favourably to its predecessor with a full charge providing up to 18 hours of backup. The ‘Low Power’ mode, however, can be activated for up to 36 hours. Be aware that turning on low power will limit the watch’s functionality to activity tracking and fall detection alone.

On September 16, 2022, Apple Watch Series 8 will be available. It will cost Rs. 45900 to purchase. While the stainless steel model will come in silver, gold, and graphite, the watch will be offered in four colours: midnight, starlight, silver, and red.
Apple Watch SE costs Rs. 29900, which is less expensive than Watch Series 8 overall. Similar to the Watch Series 8, the Watch SE will also offer international roaming, crash detection, motion sensors, and a S8 chip.
