Royal Enfield electrik01: Internet users have seen the first picture of the Royal Enfield electric bike concept. It is referred to as “Electrik01” internally and is considered a prototype for the company’s first all-electric vehicle.
What did the image suggest?
The Neo-retro style of the bike is combined with various distinctive elements in the Royal Enfield Electrik01 idea. The girder fork configuration, which was extremely popular on pre-war bikes, is one of the most distinctive characteristics. The surfaces in dark green and black look great in contrast to the brushed aluminium finish.
The Quality Function Development (QFD) concept is what the Electrik01 is reported to be, and is in the early stages of development. Though its electric drivetrain is yet unknown, the bike manufacturer thinks it would be a “game changer”.
Although the Electrik01’s production version is still some years away, this concept offers a glimpse into the company’s electric future. However, The first RE electric motorcycle will undoubtedly still be a Royal Enfield, that much is certain. According to the brief, the product must “be its own” and stick to its unique ethos and DNA rather than the segments. The bike’s neo-retro aesthetic elements are another indication of the Enfield spirit.
