Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG variant is expected to debut this month, All you need to know

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG: The Urban Cruiser Hyryder was unveiled by Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) a few months ago, and buyers seem to like it. The Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, MG Astor, Tata Harrier, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Nissan Kicks, etc. are competitors of the midsize SUV. It is one of just two SUVs in its class with a powerful hybrid drivetrain.

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder has a lot in common with the Grand Vitara and a number of benefits over its competitors. It has a specialised EV mode and a stated fuel economy of close to 28 km/l thanks to the powerful hybrid technology. Additionally, a 1.5-litre four-cylinder K15C mild-hybrid petrol engine is also an option.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG Features

It has a maximum power output of 103 PS and a maximum torque of 136 Nm. This month, a CNG variant will be added to the lineup, and official bookings have already started. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG will be the brand’s second CNG vehicle after the recently introduced CNG model of the Glanza luxury hatchback.

Customers who wish to buy an Urban Cruiser Hyryder with good fuel efficiency but find the strong hybrid model pricey would find it appealing. In this month, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara CNG is also anticipated to debut. In the CNG mode, like in the Ertiga and XL6 CNG trims, the 1.5-liter four-cylinder K15C mild-hybrid petrol engine could provide approximately 88 horsepower and 98.5 Nm.

How much will it cost?

We do anticipate that the pricing will be approximately Rs. 75,000 higher than the corresponding mild-hybrid type. The only transmission available for the powertrain is a five-speed manual transmission, and the ARAI-certified fuel efficiency is expected to be 26.10 km/kg. We expect it to cost somewhere around 15 to 15.3 lacs.
