VinFast VF3: The Vietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast is building a cutting-edge EV production facility in India, which is a major step forward for foraying into the Indian EV market. With an annual capacity of 1.50 lakh units and a significant investment of over Rs 4,000 crore, the facility showcases VinFast’s dedication to the rapidly growing Indian electric car sector.

VinFast VF3 Patent Filed in India

VinFast is preparing to launch its electric cars in India by 2025, and the VF3 electric hatchback’s new patent application hints that it will be the first offering of the brand in India. In addition to the small EV VF3, VinFast offers a variety of other electric SUVs, including the VF7 and VF9, which are bigger models, and the VF6 and VF8 which are sub-compact and compact models. It is expected that the company’s entry into the Indian market will change India’s electric transportation environment.

VinFast VF3 Design

VinFast’s first electric car in India, the VF3 comes with a unique boxy and pragmatic design. The small EV offers substantial ground clearance and a length of fewer than 3.2 meters making it ideal for Indian road conditions. A chrome-finished logo, squared-off ORVMs, LED tail lights, a sleek closed-up grille, and cladding on the bumpers are some of the notable external elements of the VinFast VF3. The small EV measures 3,190 mm in length, 1,679 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height. Apart from this, it has a large and spacious cabin with 550 litres.

VinFast VF3 Interiors and Features

The VinFast VF3 will come with a seating capacity of 5 persons. Additionally, it features a 10-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a digital driver display unit. Apart from this, the 2-spoke steering wheel improves the driving experience. Fully folding second-row seats, cruise control, automated climate control, and twin airbags are among the standout features of the small EV.

VinFast VF3 Price and Variants

The VinFast VF3 will be available in two trim options- Eco and Plus. Although the motor configuration’s exact specs are yet unknown, the small EV is claimed to have 201 kilometres of range on a solitary charge. The VinFast VF3 is expected to be priced at Rs 7–10 lakhs in India. Once launched, the small EV will contend with competitors like as the Tata Tiago and MG Comet in India.
