Engine details
The Yamaha R15 V4 is powered by a 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled four-valve engine with variable valve actuation. It generates 18.4 HP and 14.2 Nm. It's coupled to a six-speed slip-and-assist clutch gearbox. Maintaining a stable balance between high-end drive and low-end power is made easier with the help of VVA technology.
The 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine powering the KTM RC 200 produces 19.2Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm and 25PS of power at 10,000 rpm. A 6-speed gearbox is mated to the engine to provide seamless power delivery. With a mileage of about 31–35 km/l*, the KTM RC 200 is a fantastic choice for riders looking for a dynamic yet economical motorcycle in its class.
Features onboard
The Yamaha R15 V4 features an all-new LCD instrument cluster and Bluetooth connectivity via the Yamaha Y-Connect app. It shows the battery status of the phone, call and SMS notifications, and even a lap timer. Nevertheless, the console lacks turn-by-turn navigation. Yamaha has added two display modes to the bike: Street and Race. A fast shifter and several traction control options are also available on the R15; these are segment firsts. The R15 V4 with the Intensity White Colour option comes with a standard fast shifter. To be clear, this feature was formerly exclusive to the Racing Blue, MotoGP, and R15M colours.
For the middle child of the RC series, it is nice to see that KTM is offering all-LED lighting. With their integration into the motorcycle's face, the front turn indicators give it a pronounced flare. A monochrome LCD console identical to that of the 250 Adventure is also included with the RC 200. Unlike the old model with its orange backlit dash, this one is well-organized and refreshing.
Price in India
In India, a Yamaha R15 V4 may be purchased for between Rs. 1,80,900 and Rs. 1,93,900. The Yamaha R15 V4 comes in five different variants.
With the new engine, the KTM RC 200 is now available for a little bit more. For Rs. 2.18 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), you can purchase the KTM RC 200.
