Bajaj Pulsar RS400: Powered by 373-cc fuel-injected powertrain, this bike can compete with Yamaha R3, details

Bajaj Pulsar RS400

Bajaj Pulsar RS400: The largest Pulsar flagship launch in history is almost approaching, as Bajaj Auto Ltd has often intimated. In 2016, Bajaj introduced the Pulsar RS 200 and Adventure Sports versions. Later, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, MD of Bajaj Auto, hinted that even the debut of the Pulsar 400cc was imminent. It is evident from this that the 400cc Bajaj Pulsar is a work in progress, and from what we understand, it will be prepared for market debut later this year. Numerous models, including the Dominar 400, the Pulsar RS400’s own brother, will compete with it. It will also be challenged by the Yamaha R3, KTM RC390, TVS Apache RR310, and Benelli TNT 300, among others.

Engine and powertrain

The same 373.2cc single-cylinder engine powers the motorcycle. 42 PS-34.5 Nm might be provided by the Pulsar RS400. Technology from BAL’s DTSi Triple Spark Plug will be used in its engine. The top speed of the 400cc model might be around 175 km/h. It will sport attractive 17-inch alloy wheels and disc brakes on both ends. The average 26 kilometres per gallon for the Pulsar RS400 is possible. Since the kerb weight is higher than the CS400, mileage will be a little lower.

Design and styling

In contrast to the RS200, the Pulsar RS400 will use a new design. The only slight difference, despite the general design being comparable, is a higher handlebar. In contrast to the RS200’s faired sports bike positioning, the RS400 will be marketed as a sports tourer. Twin projector headlamps will be housed in a full front fairing that the vehicle will flaunt. Additionally, LED DRLs will be used in conjunction with the headlamps. A sizable windscreen up front should provide adequate protection from the elements. Next, it will have a split seat configuration. The tailpiece isn’t the prettiest design, but it looks suitably current. The LED taillamps appear assertive enough.
