Force Gurkha 5-door: Test mule vehicles in various pre-production phases have been sighted all across the nation during Force’s protracted testing of the 5-door Gurkha. New and intriguing facts, particularly regarding the SUV’s appearance and 4WD equipment, are revealed by today’s glimpse of the impending Gurkha 5-door SUV.
Know about the design
Although this test mule looks pretty similar to the ones we saw earlier, there are a few variations that we noticed on the outskirts of Pune. First off, the front of the car is styled differently than previous test mules, with square headlamps resembling those on the Force Citiline MUV in place of the 3-door Gurkha’s round pair. However, the two-slat grille resembles that of the 3-door model. Although this test mule’s front bumper is hidden, we anticipate it to be comparable to the Citiline as well. Similar to previous models, this one has a snorkel and 18-inch alloy wheels with a high ground clearance.
Force Gurkha 5-door: 7 seat layout
Force appears to be experimenting with different seating arrangements inside the Gurkha 5-door. A 7-seat three-row variant with two separate captain’s chairs for the third row and a bench seat for the second row has been spotted, in addition to a 5-seater two-row, 6-seater, and a 6-seater three-row version. The test mule has the same basic dashboard as the 3-door vehicle, as previously seen, but does not have the touchscreen infotainment system.
Know about the different 4WD gear
Furthermore, Force’s 4WD equipment appears to be equipped differently on the test mule. The normal Gurkha 3-door and the 5-door test mules that have been seen so far both have comparable off-road technology that is controlled by a transfer case that is manually handled and located beneath the gear lever. Additionally, these had separate levers for the front and rear diff-locks that were located in front of the gear lever. The most recent spy photos show that it lacks diff-locks but does have a shift-on-the-fly 4WD knob on the centre console, right next to the driver’s seat.
Know about the launch time
Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed, there’s a chance that the upgraded Gurkha will go on sale soon. A four-door pick-up truck body type for the Gurkha is also being tested by Force Motors. Find out more about that here.
