Foxconn to start manufacturing iPhone in Bengaluru; Karnataka Government allocates land

Foxconn: Foxconn, A Taiwan based multi-national company is set to manufacture iPhones in India from 2024. Company is about to manufacture 2 Crores iPhones. Company has released the information to public domain that it will start manufacturing iPhones from the April month of 2024. Karnataka Govt. will allocate the land to the company for setting up the manufacturing unit till July,2023. Large and medium industries minister MB Patil conveyed the information that Karnataka Govt. has started this project which has the total value of 13,600 Crores with a faster pace now, this project will generate employment for 50,000 people. MB Patil said that Foxconn will be allocated with 300 Acres of land in ITR till July,2023. Karnataka Government has also ensured the company of basic necessities such as Well-Maintained Infrastructure, 24×7 electricity and water supply.

Foxconn: Steps Taken by Karnataka Government

MB Patil added that he had demanded the information about the skill set of the company’s employees , So the Government can start training the people of the state to make them ready to work professionally in the company’s work environment. Company will manufacture 2 Crores iPhones in three phases in India.

Tata Also started manufacturing iPhones In India  

Tata has recently acquired manufacturing units of Wistron and the company is also planning for manufacture a new model of iPhone. According to a report by Times Of India, Tata group has started manufacturing iPhone in a Bengaluru based Naraspura manufacturing plant.
