Redmi Note 12 4G vs Redmi Note 12 5G: Redmi's Note series, which has generated multiple best-sellers, is the foundation of their success on the global market. The company just debuted its Note 12 series. Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 12 5G in response to the growing popularity of 5G technology, which was followed by a 4G-only variant of the smartphone. The Redmi Note 12 4G, which went on sale a few days ago in India, has the same specifications as the Note 12 5G and has a starting price of Rs 14,999. It also has a new Snapdragon 685 chipset. This comparison will look at the differences between the Redmi Note 12 4G and the Redmi Note 12 5G in terms of cost, style, and specs.

Redmi Note 12 4G vs Redmi Note 12 5G: Specifications

Display

In terms of the display, the two phones are comparable. They both sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. In our evaluation of the Redmi Note 12 5G, we noted that the panel had a peak brightness of over 1000 nits and was similar to other handsets in its price range in terms of visibility under direct sunlight. Excellent colour accuracy and viewing angles were displayed by the OLED panel, which are crucial elements of a high-quality display. A little punch-hole for the selfie camera is located in the centre of the panel's modern design. The only issue was the huge chin, which we hope would be addressed in the following iteration.

Cameras

The Redmi Note 12 4G and Note 12 5G's camera systems are what set them apart from one another. A 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro lens are all included in the Redmi Note 12 4G's triple camera configuration. The front of the gadget has a 13MP camera for selfies and video calls.

The Redmi Note 12 5G, on the other hand, has a triple camera configuration with a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro lens. The Note 12 5G sports a 13MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls, just like the Redmi Note 12 4G.

Battery

Each of the Redmi Note 12 models—the Redmi Note 12 4G and the Redmi Note 12 5G—has a sizable 5,000mAh battery that may easily last more than a day. Also, they include a 33W quick charging capacity, which enables battery recharging in under an hour.

Price and availability

A starting price of Rs 14,999 for the 6GB/64GB variant and Rs 16,999 for the 6GB/128GB version is what the Redmi Note 12 4G is being sold for in India. There are three colour options for this smartphone: Sunrise Gold, Ice Blue, and Lunar Black.

The Redmi Note 12 5G, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 17,999 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage and Rs 19,999 for the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Moreover, three colors—Frosted Green, Matte Black, and Mystique Blue—are offered for this device.
