Google Pixel 6a: The best camera phone under 50,000 rupees is the Pixel 6a, right?

Google Pixel 6a: The company’s first smartphone made its debut in India last week. The phone lacks the robust cameras seen on its more costly versions, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, and is a toned-down version of those devices. However, the phone is powered by the same potent Tensor SoC, thus it features the same Magic Eraser feature and Real Tone for photography, both of which are present on Google’s top-tier smartphones. You won’t have an option, though, if you reside in India, as the Pixel 6a is the only member of the series to go on sale there.

The Google Pixel 6a’s cameras follow the same design principles as those of its predecessors, and performance has not suffered as a result. This is made possible by the Tensor chip. Sheldon concurred, claiming that with the Android 12 upgrade, things have slowed down because he owns a Pixel 4a, which has a less powerful Snapdragon CPU. Since the more expensive Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro were not introduced in the nation and might not be protected by a guarantee, it might not be prudent to buy them.

The Google Pixel 6a maintains the uncluttered experience without bloatware that Android purists have grown accustomed to with the Pixel’s software. The smartphone does, however, have a 60Hz display. The Pixel 6a may disappoint some customers in light of cheaper smartphones like the Realme 9 Pro offering displays with 90Hz and 120Hz refresh rates. Aditya also encountered a fault with an inconsistent fingerprint scanner that has also troubled some other reviewers and may put users’ security at danger.

Pricing has always been a problem for the Pixel series, especially when compared to the Nexus series. According to Sheldon, the early generations, such as the Pixel 2, were too pricey for users in India, who would only purchase them after significant price decreases. Google intended to compete with the iPhone, which could have ultimately been costly for the business. How much of a dent can Google make in the flagship category when Samsung and Apple have the higher end in India? Maybe for that reason, Google decided against releasing the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro in India.
