Jeep Wrangler EV Car: One of the most anticipated electric car projects being worked on by Jeep is the Wrangler EV, which has already been confirmed and teased through concept designs. However, according to the British motor magazine motor Express, potential Jeep Wrangler EV owners will have to wait until 2027. Before concentrating on the Wrangler EV, the SUV manufacturer is apparently working on projects like the Avenger, Recon, and Wagoneer EVs.
Know about the powertrain
Since 2020, the Jeep Wrangler has been offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain in PHEV configuration. Jeep is keen to release an all-electric version of the SUV because it is the brand’s second best-selling item after the Grand Cherokee. But according to reports, the automaker is now preoccupied with other endeavours and won’t be able to release the Wrangler EV until 2027.
Jeep Wrangler EV: Friendly transport
As part of the automaker’s commitment to more environmentally friendly transportation, Christian Meunier, the CEO of Jeep, has previously revealed that an electric Wrangler is in the works. This will play a significant role in the automaker’s plan to introduce numerous electric vehicles over the next two to three years. The more rugged Recon EV is anticipated to be on sale next year, while the entry-level Avenger crossover is already available in the European market. Additionally, Jeep is preparing an electric version of the Wagoneer, its flagship luxury SUV, which is anticipated to be unveiled later in 2023.
Know about the engine
When it comes to off-roading ability, the future Jeep Wrangler EV is said to be even more potent than the present version driven by an internal combustion engine. According to reports, the CEO of Jeep stated that the Wrangler EV will set new standards for the automaker’s renowned Trail Rating score system. The Trail Rating ranges from 1 to 10. The two-door Wrangler Rubicon is at position 10; the five-door Wrangler Rubicon is at position 9. For the Renegade with Trail Rating, we begin at four o’clock. We intend to raise the Trail Rating of the subsequent Wrangler to 12. When it comes to off-roading, electrification has no bearing on what we can do, he remarked.
