Porsche Cayenne 2023: Equipped with 3.0-liter V6 electric motor, this Coupe can Lamborghini Urus a run for its money, all you must know

Porsche Cayenne 2023: Porsche India unveiled the prices for the 353 horsepower V6-powered SUV and Coupe variants of the redesigned Cayenne last month. These, however, appear to be the only versions in the Cayenne’s India line-up, which will undoubtedly come as a shock to enthusiast purchasers.

Internationally, the range also includes the e-Hybrid, which combines the same 3.0-liter V6 with an electric motor, the Cayenne S, which now gets a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 instead of the previous 2.9 V6, and an optional filling Turbo GT, which also uses the same V8, but with a higher configuration of 659 hp. However, none of these variants will make it to Indian showrooms.

While some examples of the pre-facelifted Turbo GT were delivered in India, Porsche later stated that this version of the Lamborghini Urus rival would bypass India, Japan and Europe for a facelift as it would not be possible. meet stricter emissions regulations.

V8 Cayenne S could technically make it to India

The new V8 Cayenne S could technically make it to India, but its prospects are bleak. At 474 hp, it makes 121 more horsepower than the base V6, but customers may not find that performance jumps high enough to justify a price increase that would be significant. In addition, demand for V8 versions of the previous Cayenne was initially limited.

Porsche Cayenne 2023: Difference between the V8 and V6 variant

Although the V6 Cayenne is not as fast as the V8 S version, it is still quick and the handling is simply excellent, as we found in our review. But there is still the possibility of a faster Cayenne, and that is the GTS, which is said to be in development. GTS versions tend to arrive during the lifetime of Porsche models, and between the 474bhp Cayenne S and the 659bhp Turbo GT, it would also be equipped with the same V8 that makes more than 500bhp. It would then offer better value for money and hence we would probably see the GTS in India.
