Top Cars From May 2023: Maruti Suzuki demonstrated its appeal in the Indian market in May 2023 by holding the top three slots on the top ten automobiles ranking. Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest automaker, continues to dominate the hatchback segment with blockbusters such as the Swift, WagonR, and Baleno. By keeping ahead of rival Tata Nexon in March 2023, Maruti Suzuki Brezza would have solidified its status as India’s best-selling SUV.

Maruti Suzuki Swift is on the top of the list

Maruti Suzuki Swift sales increased by nearly 30% in 2023 compared to March 2022. Swift took the lead with 17,599 copies sold in March of this year, up from 13,623 units sold in the same month last year. The popular hatchback, on the other hand, sold 18,412 units in February.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR is on the second position

Despite a 30% drop in March 2023 sales compared to the previous year, the boxy hatchback remains a fan favourite, ranking second on the list with 17,305 units sold. The company sold 16,889 WagonR vehicles in February of this year. The car had recently received a one-star rating in Global NCAP crash tests.

Third one is also from Maruti, the Brezza

The sub-compact SUV, which debuted last year, finished third on the list and maintained its position as India’s favourite SUV at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Brezza’s sales grew to 16,227 in March, up from 15,787 in February. The automaker sold 12,439 Vitara Brezzas (old generation) in March 2022, a 30% rise from the previous year.

Top Cars From May 2023: After Maruti Tata Motors topped with Nexon

Although it is no longer India’s best-selling SUV, the Tata Nexon is still a market leader. Nexon, which is getting a facelift, saw a 3% increase in sales in March this year, selling 14,769 SUVs. This figure is 855 units higher than the February 2023 sales.

Top Cars From May 2023: Hyundai Creta

Creta, the lone Hyundai vehicle on the top ten list, showed a 33% increase in sales year on year. The Korean business was the clear leader in the compact SUV sector last month, selling 14,026 vehicles, up from 10,421 in February.

Top Cars From May 2023: Maruti Dzire

The only sedan to make the top-seller list, the Dzire, saw its sales drop by 28% in the previous year, despite selling 13,394 units in March. The subcompact vehicle competes with the Honda Amaze and the Hyundai Aura, among others.

The Maruti Eeco

Last month, Eeco found 11,995 buyers, making it an outlier on the list. The utility van finished the fiscal year in ninth place, with a 30% year-on-year sales increase.

The Tata Punch

Sales of the smallest SUV increased somewhat from March 2022 to 10,894 units in March of this year. Delivered around the country. In February, however, the number of vehicles delivered was slightly greater, with 11,169 vehicles delivered.

Maruti Grand Vitara

Last month, 10,045 people purchased the Grand Vitara, which now comes with a CNG kit. The compact SUV edged out the Kia Seltos to take second place in its group. The Maruti automobile, a competitor to the Hyundai Creta, intends to accelerate its sales rise in the near future.
