Top 5 stocks of the day: The top Nifty gainers included UPL, Hindalco Industries, M&M, ONGC and Divis Laboratories, while losers included Asian Paints, Coal India, ITC, LTIMindtree, and Britannia Industries. On a sectoral level, the FMCG index concluded with a slight decrease, while the oil and gas, real estate, metal, and PSU Bank indexes all saw gains of 1%.
Sensex and NSE Nifty50
The Nifty was up 33.10 points or 0.16 percent at 20,103.10 at closure, and the Sensex was up 52.01 points or 0.08 percent at 67,519.00. Approximately 145 shares were unchanged, 1243 were down, and 2302 were up. In the erratic session on September 14, benchmark indices closed modestly higher. The BSE midcap and Smallcap indices both increased by 1%, outperforming the primary indices.

Samhi Hotels IPO subscribed 4% on first day
On the first day of bidding, September 14, investors’ interest in Samhi Hotels’ initial public offering was subdued. The offer received bids for 26.73 lakh shares, compared to the issue size of 6.25 crore shares, for a 4 percent subscription. Retail investors have so far supported the issue more than other investors, purchasing 21% of the reserved shares, or 10% of the overall offer size.
