The Uttar Pradesh government has highlighted the state’s rapid rise as one of India’s leading destinations for electronics and high-tech manufacturing under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath.
Uttar Pradesh Emerges as India’s Electronics Manufacturing Powerhouse
According to the government, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a key contributor to India’s technology-driven industrial growth, with significant progress in electronics manufacturing, semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, drones, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
Manufacturing Powerhouse Under CM Yogi Adityanath
The state claims that around 65% of India’s mobile phones are manufactured in Uttar Pradesh, while approximately 55% of the country’s electronic components are produced within the state. These figures underscore Uttar Pradesh’s growing role in strengthening India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
The government also stated that the state has attracted more than ₹28,000 crore in investments from over 75 companies engaged in electronics manufacturing. In addition, semiconductor projects worth ₹32,146 crore have received approval, further boosting Uttar Pradesh’s ambitions in advanced technology manufacturing.
Officials said the state is actively promoting emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence, robotics, drones, automation, and Industry 4.0, aiming to create a strong ecosystem for innovation, manufacturing, and skilled employment.
The Uttar Pradesh government said its industrial policies and infrastructure initiatives are helping attract domestic and global investors, positioning the state as a major electronics production hub and supporting India’s vision of becoming a global manufacturing destination.
