The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is set to strengthen the state’s primary healthcare network by opening 100 new Aam Aadmi Clinics from July 25. With this expansion, the total number of Aam Aadmi Clinics in Punjab will increase from 990 to 1,090.

According to the government, the initiative is aimed at ensuring that every citizen has access to quality, free primary healthcare services close to home.

Unlike previous launches, the inauguration of the new clinics will not be marked by a state-level event. Instead, MLAs and local public representatives will inaugurate the clinics in their respective constituencies between July 25 and July 31, with most facilities expected to become operational on the first day.
The new clinics will be established across multiple districts, including Amritsar, Bathinda, Faridkot, Fazilka, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, Malerkotla, Mansa, Moga, Pathankot, Patiala, Sangrur, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Sri Muktsar Sahib, and Tarn Taran.
Ludhiana will witness one of the biggest expansions, with 20 new Aam Aadmi Clinics being added. The district currently has 111 clinics, and the new additions will increase the total to 131.
The Bhagwant Mann government has positioned the Aam Aadmi Clinic model as a key pillar of Punjab’s healthcare system, offering free consultations, diagnostic tests, and essential medicines to residents. The latest expansion is expected to improve access to healthcare, particularly in urban and semi-urban areas.
Officials said the continued rollout of clinics reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening public healthcare infrastructure and making essential medical services more accessible across Punjab.
