2024 Polls Will Be Between AAP vs BJP Says Manish Sisodia

A day after the CBI raided Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s residence over alleged corruption in Delhi’s liquor policy, AAP and BJP leaders held one-on-one press briefing on Saturday. First of all, Manish Sisodia expressed the possibility of his arrest in 3-4 days.

2024 Polls Will Be Between AAP vs BJP Says Manish Sisodia

He said, “Maybe in the next 3-4 days CBI-ED will arrest me. We will not be afraid, you will not be able to break us, the election of 2024 will be AAP vs BJP.”

On this matter, Union Minister Anurag Thakur also took a dig at Manish Sisodia on Saturday, saying, “Delhi Deputy Chief Minister changed his name. Thakur called him ‘Moneyshh’, because he wants to take money and keep quiet about it. Anurag Thakur said that “Manish ji, if your liquor policy was correct, then why did you withdraw it?

CBI had raided Manish Sisodia’s residence for about 15 hours on the previous day. An FIR was also registered against 15 people including Sisodia in this case.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has reacted to Manish Sisodia calling the 2024 Lok Sabha elections a war between Arvind Kejriwal and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “It will be a good game,” he said. In many states, people do not even know Arvind Kejriwal. PM Modi came to power last time with more than 300 seats, will come again in 2024 with 450 seats. If you are calling someone a contender against PM Modi, whose name is not even known in many parts of India, then BJP will be happy.

Taking a dig at Delhi’s healthcare model, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Firstly, Delhi’s Mohalla Clinic cannot be the model of healthcare in the country. If there can be a model, then people should come to Assam and see how we are promoting one medical college in every district. If Delhi’s Mohalla Clinic is the model of healthcare in India, then no one will come to India and look at healthcare as a model.”

The CBI had raided the residences of Sisodia and IAS officer Aarav Gopi Krishna on Friday morning after registering an FIR in connection with alleged corruption in the implementation of Delhi’s excise policy. The investigating agency had also searched 19 other places.
