40 arrested after communal clash in Gujarat

On October 3, an incident of communal clash has come to the fore in the local vegetable market in Savli town located in Vadodara, Gujarat. Vehicles parked there were also damaged due to stone pelting. So far 40 people have been arrested in this case.

According to news agency ANI, the police have registered an FIR in the matter. Vadodara Rural Police Officer PR Patel said, “A Muslim festival is about to approach due to which a local group of people had tied the religious flag on an electronic pole and there is a temple nearby which had a dispute.”

According to Vadodara Rural Police Officer PR Patel, a festival of Muslims is about to come, about which some local people had tied religious flags on the pole which was right near the temple. People of Hindu society objected to this and said that their religious sentiments have been hurt.

According to the police, the quarrel gradually escalated in this case and reached further stone pelting. The police have arrested 40 people by registering an FIR against both the groups. At the same time, in view of the situation, police force has been deployed in the entire area.
