Amitabh Kant Says, India Should Aim complete Electrification of two & three wheelers by 2030

India's G20 Sherpa Amitabh kant said that "India should Shift to complete electrification of two and three wheeler Vehicles by 2030, he also said that India should also aim for electrifying 65% of its Public Transport Services. He added that India need a proper framework to achieve these Electric Mobility Vision.

In an event organized by NITI Aayog with the theme 'Policy Support and Enablers to Accelerate India's Electric Mobility' during the 4th Energy Transition Working Group under India's Panaji G20 Presidency.

At the same time Former CEO of NITI Aayog said that " When it comes to India's Urbanization, it should be aadopted in a compact manner. It should be peaceful and livable, we must electrify two-wheelers and three-wheelers.

India's Policy should have a stringent policy that aims to electrify two and three wheeler anyhow, no matter what, have proper vision and work in right direction will definitely give positive results.

Kant said that diesel and Petrol is a dying technology, he said these fuel- petrol and diesel will come to an end soon and there will be an era of Electric Vehicles. He mentioned that, at the Global level the EV Car market has reached upto the total worth of 10 Million and 18 percent of all the new cars are Electric cars. He Further added that In China, 60 percent vehicles are electric, talking about Europe and America, the EV contribution is 15 percent for the former and 10 percent for the latter, but India is not going to align its path with Europe or America.
