Aam Aadmi Party leader Anurag Dhanda has criticized what he described as attempts to target students protesting against alleged examination paper leaks, saying that political interests should not override the concerns of young people seeking accountability in the education system.
Anurag Dhanda Criticises Alleged Targeting of Students Protesting Exam Paper Leaks
Referring to ongoing discussions surrounding student-led protests, Dhanda said it was disappointing to see political leaders allegedly opposing or questioning students who had raised concerns over examination irregularities. He argued that students demonstrating against paper leaks were demanding transparency and fairness rather than engaging in partisan politics.
The remarks came in the backdrop of a social media post by AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj, who appealed for a more sympathetic approach toward students participating in protests. Bharadwaj stated that many of the demonstrators were first-time protesters, including students who had recently appeared for examinations such as CBSE and NEET, and urged political groups to treat their concerns with sensitivity.
Dhanda further questioned the distinction between major political parties
Dhanda further questioned the distinction between major political parties if student grievances were not taken seriously, alleging that attempts to undermine such protests could discourage young people from raising legitimate concerns about the education system.
The issue of examination integrity and paper leak allegations has remained a subject of public debate in recent years, with students and parents across different states calling for stricter safeguards, transparent investigations, and stronger accountability mechanisms to protect the interests of candidates.
Education experts have repeatedly emphasized that maintaining trust in examination systems is essential for ensuring fairness and preserving confidence among students preparing for competitive and board examinations.
