Bhagwant Mann Announces Development Grant for Hoshiarpur Village
Addressing the gathering, Mann highlighted several initiatives undertaken by the Punjab government, including free electricity benefits for households, healthcare services, measures aimed at regulating private school fees, and merit-based recruitment in government jobs. He also referred to the recently enacted legislation prescribing stricter punishment in cases related to sacrilege and noted that additional welfare programmes are scheduled to be launched in the coming months.
Chief Minister handed over a grant of ₹51 lakh to the village panchayat
As part of the event, the Chief Minister handed over a grant of ₹51 lakh to the village panchayat for local development works. The funds will be utilized for the construction of a new Anganwadi Centre and a community hall, projects aimed at improving public infrastructure and community services in the village.
Mann stated that strengthening rural infrastructure remains a priority for the state government and emphasized the importance of investing in facilities that benefit women, children, and local communities. He said such projects contribute to improving the quality of life and supporting balanced development in rural areas.
Reaffirming his government’s commitment to village development, the Chief Minister said efforts would continue to ensure that every village in Punjab benefits from improved infrastructure, public services, and welfare programmes. He added that the government remains dedicated to building a prosperous and progressive Punjab through sustained development initiatives.
