Bhagwant Mann Arrests 103 Alleged Drug Smugglers in Statewide Anti-Narcotics Drive
According to official information, police teams arrested 103 alleged drug smugglers during the latest phase of the campaign. During the operations, authorities recovered 848 grams of heroin, 12 kilograms of poppy husk, 1,308 intoxicant pills, and ₹6,756 suspected to be linked to drug-related activities.

Officials stated that the action was part of the state’s sustained efforts to curb the supply and distribution of narcotic substances and dismantle organized drug networks operating in different districts.
Alongside enforcement measures, Punjab Police said that 13 individuals were counselled and encouraged to seek de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment. Authorities emphasized that the campaign focuses not only on law enforcement but also on helping individuals overcome substance abuse through rehabilitation and awareness initiatives.
The anti-drug drive remains a key component of the Punjab government’s strategy to tackle the narcotics problem through coordinated policing, prevention efforts, and community participation.
